![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() For some, it's as simple as finding and turning off the display accelerator, but on my laptops, there is no option for this. According to one thread, here Opens a new window, on the TeamViewer support site, the GPU no longer generates a display for the mirror driver to display. The remote control session starts, you can see the screen, but some windows show nothing, some show an initial image and then don't update as you click on things. With the new laptop, even though the power setting for do nothing when lid is closed is set, when the lid is closed, the remote session does not properly update the screen. This has worked well until we added a new laptop. The Problem: For multiple years, we have been using laptops with the lid closed as a remote workstation. This only seems to be an issue on newer laptops and since newer laptops mean Windows 10, it might also be related to Windows 10 or one of it's updates. I've confirmed this affects logmein, TeamViewer, and AVAST premium remote control. I just found a solution, and want to post it here so someone else with the same problem might have an easier time finding a solution: I ran into this problem months back, but took the quick fix since I couldn't find a solution and told the customer to just keep the laptop lid open. ![]()
